A number of Liverpool<\/a> players have shown their support to Darwin Nunez <\/a>following his departure. The Uruguayan has completed his move from Anfield<\/a> to Al Hilal for a deal worth \u00a346.3million plus bonuses, the club confirmed.<\/a><\/p>\n

Nunez spent three years on Merseyside after joining from Portuguese giants Benfica for an initial fee of \u00a364m. During that time, he scored 40 goals in 143 games in a Reds’ shirt and helped Arne Slot’s <\/a>side to the Premier League<\/a> title last season.<\/p>\n

But his role became limited last campaign, where he made just eight league starts. After weeks of negotiations between Liverpool and Al Hilal, the club confirmed the deal in a statement on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

It read: “The 2024-25 term turned out to be his final one with the Reds, and he would complete his career on Merseyside by hoisting the Premier League trophy aloft. Nunez’s pair of stoppage-time finishes to snatch victory away at Brentford in January was an undoubted vital moment and highlight of the historic season.<\/p>\n

“Everybody at the club would like to thank Darwin for his contributions and wish him and his family all the best for the future.”<\/p>\n

After the news, several Reds stars took to Instagram to send Nunez a message.<\/p>\n

Cody Gakpo<\/strong> led the tribute: “All the best with your new journey. We’re going to miss you,” with Andy Robertson<\/strong> adding: “Good luck my friend, you will be missed.”<\/p>\n

Stefan Bajcetic<\/strong> posted: “You always demonstrated your passion for football and I am sure you will continue showing that. You have a big heart and I’m going to miss you a lot, brother,” and Harvey Elliott<\/strong> declared: “My brother, all the very best my friend. Absolute legend,”<\/p>\n

Ibrahima Konate <\/strong>penned: “All the very best my brother, I’m going to miss you so much, you know how much I love you. No one will forget how important you were for the Premier League that we won last season.”<\/p>\n

Curtis Jones<\/strong> said: “Good luck my brother! Such a big part of the success we’ve achieved as a team. You will be missed, all the best at your new club!”<\/p>\n

Nunez joins Ruben Neves, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Theo Hernandez and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic at the Kingdom Arena.<\/p>\n
