Civil Air Patrol was approved for a lease extension at Phoenix Deer Valley Airport on Thursday and plans to expand its hangar there.<\/p>\n
The Phoenix Aviation Advisory Board Business and Development Subcommittee unanimously approved the extension, which is for 10 years with the possibility of a five-year extension in exchange for the at least $4.9 million Civil Air Patrol plans to spend on expanding the hangar.<\/p>\n
The 10-year extension will extension starts in 2028 and runs through 2037. It is contingent on completing the expansion of the hangar, which also includes classroom and office space.
