Taylor is a name many Lynx fans are familiar with, having spent time with the organization the last two seasons \u2014 including this year \u2014 as part of the training camp roster.<\/p>\n
Though Taylor may only temporarily be in Minnesota on her current seven-day contract \u2014 which could be extended a total of three times \u2014 she could contribute off the bench if needed due to the current injuries among Lynx forwards, notably Napheesa Collier, who is out with an ankle injury.<\/p>\n
Taylor most recently played for Esperides Kallitheas in the Greek A1 Basketball League, averaging 19.6 points and 6.7 rebounds while shooting 42.3% from the field. The 6-foot-2 forward has yet to make her debut in the WNBA during the regular season.<\/p>\n
The Lynx didn\u2019t waste any time going after Sherrod and signing her to a rest-of-season contract, being available for a matter of days after being waived by the New York Liberty on Aug. 1.<\/p>\n
Sherrod is a young guard, currently just 23 years old, and could bolster Minnesota\u2019s guard group alongside Courtney Williams and Natisha Hiedeman as floor generals.<\/p>\n
Before being waived by the Liberty at the beginning of the month, Sherrod appeared in a total of 28 games over two seasons with New York. Over that span, she averaged 1.5 points and shot 38.2% from the field in a limited role off the bench.<\/p>\n
Out of the University of Colorado, Sherrod signed with the Liberty as an undrafted rookie in 2024.<\/p>\n
Right before the announcement of the signing of Sherrod, the Lynx announced they had released Anderson, who was on her second seven-day contract with the organization after first signing with the team on July 28.<\/p>\n
Anderson played a limited role off the bench as a supporting player on the second unit, appearing in one game over the course of her time in Minnesota. In that game against Las Vegas on Aug. 2, Anderson posted two assists and two steals in 12 minutes in a blowout win.<\/p>\n
