SYRACUSE, N.Y. \u2014 The South Side of Syracuse was alive with culture, commerce, and community spirit Saturday as Fearless Queens hosted the 5th Annual Queen Street Expo at Sankofa Park.<\/p>\n
The free afternoon event, held from 1 to 5 p.m., celebrated Black entrepreneurship and creativity during National Black Business Month. More than 25 local vendors lined the park, offering everything from clothing and beauty products to books, handmade goods, and food.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis isn\u2019t just an expo \u2014 it\u2019s a movement,\u201d said Jaznea Brumfield, marketing manager for Fearless Queens. \u201cQueen Street represents the heartbeat of Black entrepreneurship in our city. We\u2019re giving Black-owned brands the spotlight they deserve, and inspiring the next generation of young queens to dream big.\u201d<\/p>\n
Guests enjoyed live music from DJ 40, dance performances, interactive workshops, panel discussions, and giveaways throughout the day. Organizers say the goal is to uplift and circulate the Black dollar while creating a family-friendly environment for connection and networking.<\/p>\n
The event also offered opportunities for attendees to support local Black-owned businesses and learn from community leaders during panel discussions and conversations.<\/p>\n
