While Shedeur Sanders shined on the field for the Cleveland Browns on Friday night, his mom, Pilar Sanders, made headlines for her behavior off of it.<\/a><\/p>\n

The fifth round NFL Draft pick had a strong showing on Friday night. He made the start in the Browns’ first preseason game, leading Cleveland to a 30-10 win over Carolina. Sanders, who starred collegiately at Colorado, threw two first half touchdowns. Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski was impressed.<\/p>\n

“Pleased with Shedeur, pleased with the offense,” Stefanski said. “Again, not perfect. Plenty that we can work on. But I thought the guys did a really nice job of Shedeur operating, the guys making plays. So again, a ton to teach on.”<\/p>\n

Sanders, meanwhile, said he could have played better.<\/p>\n

“Did I play up to par? No, I don’t feel like I did,” he said. “But overall, the main goal was to win, and that’s honestly what we did.”<\/p>\n

The rookie quarterback completed 14 of 23 passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Meanwhile, his mom went viral for her outfit off of the field.<\/p>\n

Pilar Sanders, the ex-wife of Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, went viral for her outfit at the game. She wore a crop-top No. 12 shirt – Shedeur’s number – while posing for the camera on Instagram.<\/p>\n

She was a very “proud mom.”<\/p>\n

“Aaaaaand you know itttt!!! Momma\u2019s always present! #proudmom #shedeursanders #gobrowns #nfl #qb1 #footballmom #nflmom #12 #shedeursmom \ud83e\udde1\ud83e\udd0e\ud83e\udde1\ud83e\udd0e,” she wrote to her Instagram followers.<\/p>\n

However, some fans took issue with the outfit and her behavior. One comment on Instagram has received 28 likes, one of the most-liked comments on the entire post.<\/p>\n

“I would be embarrassed if my 60 year old mom was conducted herself like that,” the post calling out Pilar’s outfit read.<\/p>\n

Others, meanwhile, seemed to disagree.<\/p>\n

“Yeah Deion messed up,” one fan joked.<\/p>\n

Shedeur Sanders, meanwhile, remains focused on winning a roster spot with the Cleveland Browns. Though his head coach, Kevin Stefanski, isn’t making any big decisions yet.<\/p>\n

“We’re really just focused on developing our players. We’re in evaluation mode,” Stefanski said. “I’m pleased with where the guys are, but I’m not diving into a quarterback competition.”<\/p>\n

The Browns will return to the field on Saturday, Aug. 16 against the Eagles.<\/p>\n
