{"id":135815,"date":"2025-08-11T02:12:11","date_gmt":"2025-08-11T02:12:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/135815\/"},"modified":"2025-08-11T02:12:11","modified_gmt":"2025-08-11T02:12:11","slug":"here-are-the-biggest-arizona-news-stories-from-aug-8-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/135815\/","title":{"rendered":"Here are the biggest Arizona news stories from Aug. 8-10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHOENIX \u2014 From Attorney General Kris Mayes issuing a robocall warning to 37 telecom companies to Arizona adding funding to help first-time homebuyers, here are some of the top Arizona news stories from Aug. 8-10.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ktar.com\/arizona-news\/arizona-ag-robocall-warning\/5737263\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arizona AG issues robocall warning to 37 telecom companies<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In a multistate effort alongside 50 fellow attorneys general, Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes helped send warning letters to 37 telecom companies which all \u201chave failed to comply with federal rules aimed at stopping illegal robocall traffic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The companies, which include Family Communication Inc. and Pleedex LLC, are being accused of one or more of these malpractices: not responding to FCC traceback requests, not registering in the FCC\u2019s Robocall Mitigation Database and not submitting a \u201clegally required mitigation plan to combat robocalls.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c(These companies have) ignored basic federal requirements, and by doing so, they are enabling fraudsters to reach Arizonans\u2019 phones. That stops now,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ktar.com\/arizona-news\/ag-investigating-thin-blue-line\/5735380\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mayes<\/a>\u00a0said in a Thursday release.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ktar.com\/arizona-news\/woman-dead-bathtub-central-phoenix\/5737385\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Woman found dead in bathtub in central Phoenix<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A woman was found dead in a bathtub early Saturday morning in central Phoenix, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to reports of an injured person in the area of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/KNg47czDdgTSzQhk9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">23rd Avenue and Thomas Road<\/a>\u00a0around 3:00 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>The caller indicated that they had found a woman unresponsive in a residential bathtub.<\/p>\n<p>The Phoenix Fire Department arrived on scene and the woman was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ktar.com\/arizona-news\/boy-heart-condition-missing-chandler\/5737588\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">14-year-old boy with heart condition missing in Chandler<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Chandler Police Department is asking for the public\u2019s help to find a 14-year-old boy with a heart condition who went missing on Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Riggins Jr. was last seen around 9 p.m. at his home located near\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/js8B4iPPHQwutQ5u5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">McQueen Road and Chandler Boulevard<\/a>, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Police said Riggins Jr. left his home without his heart medication and his cell phone. What he was last wearing for clothing is unknown.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ktar.com\/arizona-news\/2-people-ejected-crash-mesa\/5737460\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2 people in hospital after being ejected from vehicle during crash in Mesa<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Two people were ejected from a vehicle during a crash in Mesa on Saturday, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Mesa Police Department, the single-vehicle accident happened near\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/bksLJ3cq2R6Nbw5j8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">US 60 and Power Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Police said, the car hit the concrete barrier at a high rate of speed and that both of the vehicle\u2019s occupants were ejected during the crash.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ktar.com\/arizona-real-estate\/az-first-time-homebuyers\/5737239\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arizona adds $5M to program that helps 1st-time homebuyers<\/a><\/p>\n<p>After being introduced in January 2024, the Arizona Is Home program \u2014 endorsed by Gov.
