It is extremely far from the US, but in about 10 days, it could become a concern.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">The National Hurricane Center is also monitoring a tropical wave (Invest 96L) in the middle of the Atlantic that is struggling to stay organized.<\/p>\n<p> Hit or Miss Storm Chances this Week   <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/A4CDA229195CC012E0CF8B72423B2583.jpg\" alt=\"Houston weather: August 10 evening forecast\" class=\"sr-only\" data-v-fa1f2118=\"\"\/>   <\/p>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">Storm coverage this week should be more than what we saw last week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">The upper-level wind flow is going to pull in some Gulf moisture and daytime heating should lead to scattered downpours. A few could produce lots of lightning and possibly some gusty winds.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">The highest likelihood of storms to move through will be between about noon and 7 p.m. each day this week.<\/p>\n<p> First Week of School Weather <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/5-day-accumulation.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-v-0dea8073=\"\"\/>  <\/p>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">August heat and humidity will keep temperatures slightly above average with heat index values of up to 105.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">A daily chance of isolated showers and a few storms will continue as well.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">Always remember when thunder roars, head indoors.<\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/futurecastsunday.jpg\" alt=\"Aug. 10 futurecast\" data-v-0dea8073=\"\"\/>  Latest on the Tropics <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/tropical-outlook.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-v-0dea8073=\"\"\/>  <\/p>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">A tropical wave (Invest 97L) which moved off the African coast, has a better chance of becoming the season&#8217;s first hurricane next week.
