Here are the three pressing questions I started by asking when putting together this list:<\/p>\n<ul displaynav=\"true\" class=\"mg-b-15 article-content\" data-v-8d19012c=\"\" data-v-7259cf83=\"\">\n<li class=\"ff-h\" data-v-7259cf83=\"\">Who do I think is good?<\/li>\n<li class=\"ff-h\" data-v-7259cf83=\"\">Why do I think they&#8217;re good?<\/li>\n<li class=\"ff-h\" data-v-7259cf83=\"\">What are the chances they will finish above or below my expectations?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" data-v-8d19012c=\"\">Here is a look at where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/college-football\/nebraska-cornhuskers-team\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nebraska<\/a> lands in my Ultimate 136.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" data-v-8d19012c=\"\"><strong>Nebraska ranking:<\/strong> 30<br \/><strong>Last year\u2019s ranking:\u00a0<\/strong>31\u00a0<br \/><strong>Top player<\/strong>: QB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/college-football\/dylan-raiola-player\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Dylan Raiola<\/a>: Threw for 2,819 yards last season and completed 67.1% of his passes, setting freshman program records in both; led all FBS true freshmen in completion percentage and ranked third in passing yards.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" data-v-8d19012c=\"\"><strong>[<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/college-football\/nebraska-cornhuskers-team-schedule\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Nebraska&#8217;s 2025 schedule<\/strong><\/a><strong>]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" data-v-8d19012c=\"\"><strong>RJ&#8217;s take: <\/strong>For nearly 40 years, I tell the kiddos, you could count on Nebraska to do three things: win at least nine games, win at least one national championship every eight years and run that triple-option that was heaven for Huskers fans and hell for everybody else. So to watch Nebraska slowly climb out of the cellar it went into when it left the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/college-football\/big-12\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Big 12<\/a> for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/college-football\/big-ten\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Big Ten<\/a> has been more humbling than asking one of the aforementioned kiddos what &#8220;rizz&#8221; is.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" data-v-8d19012c=\"\">Just last season, Huskers fans celebrated their first trip to a bowl game in eight years. And, in that way, the Matt Rhule era is doing what it\u2019s supposed to. Heading into Year 3 with a QB who enjoyed a brilliant true freshman season in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/college-football\/dylan-raiola-player\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dylan Raiola<\/a>, a coordinator who is as inventive as he is entertaining in Dana Holgorsen, and a clear vision for how to win in the modern era from athletic director Troy Dannen on down, it\u2019s time for Nebraska to compete for championships.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" data-v-8d19012c=\"\">In Year 3 at Temple, Rhule won 10 games. In Year 3 at Baylor, he won 11. It\u2019s not out of the question for the Huskers to win double-digit games this season with a schedule that features only two teams ranked in my preseason top 25 \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/college-football\/michigan-wolverines-team\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Michigan<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/college-football\/penn-state-nittany-lions-team\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Penn State<\/a> \u2014 and only one of those is on the road. In fact, the Huskers go on the road just four times this season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" data-v-8d19012c=\"\">Raiola is more than capable of throwing for 3,500 yards with 30 touchdowns. He\u2019s just going to need <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/college-football\/jacory-barney-jr-player\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Jacory Barney<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/college-football\/dane-key-player\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dane Key<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/college-football\/nyziah-hunter-player\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nyziah Hunter<\/a> to step up and catch those passes. Three starters return to the offensive line, and former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/college-football\/oklahoma-sooners-team\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Oklahoma<\/a> linebacker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/college-football\/dasan-mccullough-player\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dasan McCullough<\/a> could be an All-Big Ten defender along with former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/college-football\/georgia-southern-eagles-team\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Georgia Southern<\/a> defender <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/college-football\/marques-watson-trent-player\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Marques Watson-Trent,<\/a> who has averaged just short of 122 tackles per season each of the last three years.
