{"id":136533,"date":"2025-08-11T08:59:08","date_gmt":"2025-08-11T08:59:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/136533\/"},"modified":"2025-08-11T08:59:08","modified_gmt":"2025-08-11T08:59:08","slug":"senior-dead-following-fort-york-area-hit-and-run","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/136533\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior dead following Fort York area hit-and-run"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">An 82-year-old woman has died following a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cp24.com\/local\/toronto\/2025\/07\/28\/toronto-police-looking-for-suspect-in-fort-york-hit-and-run-victim-left-with-serious-injuries\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.cp24.com\/local\/toronto\/2025\/07\/28\/toronto-police-looking-for-suspect-in-fort-york-hit-and-run-victim-left-with-serious-injuries\/\">hit-and-run late last month in in downtown Toronto\u2019s Fort York area<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The crash happened on July 27 near Brunel Court and Fort York Boulevard, which is north of Lake Shore Boulevard west and west of Spadina Avenue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Toronto police said they were called to that area just after 10 a.m. for reports of a fail-to-remain collision.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Investigators say that an 82-year-old woman was walking across a driveway when she was hit by the driver of a van that fled the scene and was last seen heading towards Fort York Boulevard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
