Cameron Brink is keeping quite the company.<\/p>\n
The Los Angeles Sparks have featured some of the best frontcourt players in WNBA history, and now Brink has joined a list with three of the greatest.<\/p>\n
The other names in this club: Candace Parker, Lisa Leslie and Nneka Ogwumike.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Those are the only three Sparks players to reach 150 points, 100 rebounds, and 50 steals-plus-blocks faster than Brink has to begin her WNBA career, per Polymarket Hoops<\/a>.<\/p>\n Brink has had a disjointed beginning, of course. Her torn ACL last summer prevented her from returning to the court until recently for Los Angeles.<\/p>\n But already she’s shown her defensive prowess, ranking first in the WNBA in blocked shots since she got back on the court despite still ramping up her minutes.<\/p>\n Brink is capable of doing almost anything on the floor. It’s why she was the No. 2 overall pick in 2024 out of Stanford, behind just Caitlin Clark. Brink is even shooting 46.7% from 3-point range in a small sample size since coming back, which would be a major boost to an already impressive all-around game.<\/p>\n She proved as a rookie that she was ready for the spotlight, with only the injury able to slow her down.<\/p>\n Now that Brink is back, she’s providing the Sparks a glimpse at what the future can look like.\u00a0<\/p>\n As a franchise, they’ve already enjoyed the brilliance of Leslie, and of Parker, and of Ogwumike.<\/p>\n Next up in the frontcourt is Brink, and she truly looks ready to carry on that mantle.\u00a0<\/p>\n
