Jannik Sinner\u2019s 2025 campaign has been a cacophony of peaks and troughs after contrasting fortunes at the Grand Slams.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After winning his second Australian Open title in January, the Italian was just one point away from the French Open title, before it was snatched from his grasp by Alcaraz<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Just a month later, Sinner enacted revenge, defeating Alcaraz in four sets in the Wimbledon final<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After pulling out of the Canadian Open, Sinner<\/a> is fit and firing in Cincinnati<\/a>, winning his opening match in just 59 minutes.<\/p>\n

Like any elite athlete, Sinner exudes confidence when in his element. He explained how he builds confidence following his victory over Daniel Galan.<\/p>\n

Sinner takes his confidence from his preparation rather than tournaments or matches<\/p>\n

Speaking to reporters after a 6-1 6-1 victory over Daniel Galan, Sinner was asked about how he manages to maintain his form between surfaces after taking a break between Wimbledon<\/a> and the Cincinnati Open.<\/p>\n

Sinner said: \u201cI don\u2019t know because I feel like\u2026 also when I haven\u2019t won one Grand Slam, that year I came to Australia without playing any tournaments before.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I\u2019m one kind of person who takes the confidence out of the practice sessions, and when I feel ready physically, when I feel ready mentally, when I feel that the shots are in the right spots that\u2019s, you know, I\u2019m just ready to play. I feel confident and that\u2019s exactly what we did also after London.<\/p>\n

\u201cI took my time off but then when I came back I was working very very hard. We had very very long days at the tennis club with the physical training, tennis and physio and everything, there was so long days.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, you wake up early and you go to sleep actually quite late and I take my confidence from there, not from tournaments played or matches played.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course, if I would lose first round first round second round then I would change. I would play\u2026 or at couple of tournaments.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut at the moment everything is going in the right direction in the terms of preparation for the matches.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jannik Sinner\u2019s impressive record against top 20 players<\/p>\n

In what seems to be a daily event, Jannik Sinner made more history by defeating Daniel Galan.<\/p>\n

As per OptaAce, Jannik Sinner has won 73 matches and lost just two since winning his maiden Masters 1000 title at the 2023 Canadian Open.<\/p>\n

His only two losses have come against Dusan Lajovic at the 2023 Cincinnati Open and Alexander Bublik at the 2025 Halle Open.<\/p>\n
