Watch below.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"post-content-read-more\">\n<li><strong>READ MORE:<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/reviews\/album\/florence-the-machine-dance-fever-3223402\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>\u00a0Florence + The Machine \u2013 \u2018Dance Fever\u2019 review: the triumphant sound of a singer reborn<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The London band shared the brief clip on social media today (August 11), showing frontwoman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/florence-welch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florence Welch<\/a> frantically digging up the ground in a windy, otherwise deserted field.<\/p>\n<p>We then see a shot from below of the singer-songwriter staring into the hole, before letting out three bloodcurdling screams. She is wearing a long red dress and matching shoes in the sinister clip.<\/p>\n<p>The post did not include any caption or further information about the upcoming new project. You can check it out here:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned=\"\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DNNlPc1uxIl\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:658px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\">\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The teaser comes shortly after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/are-florence-the-machine-teasing-new-music-3877247\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Welch sparked speculation over her return to music by sharing a cryptic series of photographs on social media<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n<p>One of the pictures showed a whiteboard that contained the message \u201cYou can have it all\u201d, before listing the words \u201cclarity\u201d, \u201cpower\u201d, \u201cpurpose\u201d, \u201cvocals\u201d, \u201cspace\u201d, \u201cdynamics\u201d and \u201cbeauty\u201d. This particular image seemed to make a cryptic nod to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/adele\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Adele<\/a> too.<\/p>\n<p>Another slide revealed Welch at work in the studio with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/idles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IDLES <\/a>guitarist Mark Bowen, while a different snap included the word \u201cOctober\u201d \u2013 perhaps the month fans can expect the new album.<\/p>\n<p>A photo of the musician\u2019s notebook contained some possible themes for the next F+TM record, such as \u201cwitchcraft\u201d, \u201cfolk horror\u201d, \u201cmagic\u201d and \u201cinsanity\u201d \u2013 which line up with the new teaser we\u2019ve seen today.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/glass-animals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Glass Animals<\/a> commented on last month\u2019s carousel of images. \u201comggggg,\u201d the band wrote. The two artists have connections, as frontman Dave Bayley has worked with Florence + The Machine in the past \u2013 helping produce their 2022 album <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/reviews\/album\/florence-the-machine-dance-fever-3223402\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018Dance Fever\u2019<\/a>\u00a0alongside Welch,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/jack-antonoff\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jack Antonoff<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/kid-harpoon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kid Harpoon<\/a>\u00a0and Doveman.<\/p>\n<p>NME asked Bayley whether he could shed any light on new F+TM material in the works during an interview at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/festivals\/mad-cool-festival\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mad Cool 2025<\/a> recently.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not my place to say,\u201d he replied, coyly. \u201cAll I will say is: working with Florence is like one of the coolest things I\u2019ve gotten to do. She\u2019s a force of nature. What an amazing songwriter \u2013 I\u2019ve learnt so much from her. I can\u2019t say any more! Yeah, it\u2019s very exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>This year has also seen Florence + The Machine <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/florence-the-machine-announce-10th-anniversary-reissue-of-how-big-how-blue-how-beautiful-3866123\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">celebrate the 10th anniversary of their third album <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/reviews\/reviews-florence-and-the-machine-16081-315075\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful\u2019<\/a>. In 2024, Welch and co. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/florence-machine-lungs-full-orchestra-london-royal-albert-hall-setlist-footage-photos-3793050\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">played a one-off orchestral show at London\u2019s Royal Albert Hall to mark the 15th anniversary of their 2009 debut album, \u2018Lungs\u2019<\/a>.
