{"id":137502,"date":"2025-08-11T17:36:23","date_gmt":"2025-08-11T17:36:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/137502\/"},"modified":"2025-08-11T17:36:23","modified_gmt":"2025-08-11T17:36:23","slug":"burbank-high-school-to-begin-construction-on-18-5-million-athletic-building-early-next-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/137502\/","title":{"rendered":"Burbank High School to begin construction on $18.5 million athletic building early next year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\"><strong>SAN ANTONIO<\/strong> \u2013 Luther Burbank High School will begin construction of a new athletic building early next year, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdlr.texas.gov\/TABS\/Search\/Project\/TABS2025025438\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tdlr.texas.gov\/TABS\/Search\/Project\/TABS2025025438\"><b>Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation<\/b><\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">This is a part of <a href=\"https:\/\/bond.saisd.net\/o\/bond\/page\/renovation-project-information\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/bond.saisd.net\/o\/bond\/page\/renovation-project-information\"><b>San Antonio ISD\u2019s 2020 Bond Renovation Project<\/b><\/a>, which is divided into a four-phase program.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">So far, seven projects have been completed, with many more under construction or in the design phase.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The athletic building is estimated to cost $18.5 million, according to the TDLR page.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The building will be one story, with a competition gym, locker room for football players, classrooms, showers and exterior work.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The project is set to begin construction on Jan. 5, 2026.
