FORT WORTH, Texas \u2014 A country music legend made a stop at a famed Tex-Mex spot in North Texas this weekend.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Country Music Hall of Famer Randy Travis, who will soon return to the road with his original band and guest vocalist James Dupr\u00e9 on the “More Life” Tour, visited Joe T. Garcia’s, a longtime Tex-Mex hotspot near the Fort Worth Stockyards on North Commerce Street.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Last night we had the honor of welcoming our friend and legendary country artist, Randy Travis to our family table,” Joe T. Garcia’s shared in a post on social media Monday. “From longtime locals to first-time visitors, there\u2019s always a seat for you here. You never know who you might run into at Joe T\u2019s.”<\/p>\n

Travis, who earlier this year announced more dates, including stops in Texas, for the “More Life” Tour, no longer performs vocally himself following the effects of a 2013 stroke, but does appear on stage with his original touring band and Dupr\u00e9.<\/p>\n
“Although Travis does not perform vocally due to the effects of the stroke he survived in 2013, he does appear on stage with his wife, Mary, engaging with fans, interacting with the band, and celebrating the music throughout the show. Dupr\u00e9 and the band perform all of his iconic No. 1 hits, including ‘On the Other Hand,’ ‘Forever and Ever, Amen,’ and ‘Three Wooden Crosses,'” a release posted on Travis’ website reads. “The ‘More Life Tour’ has already captivated fans with its heartfelt tribute to Travis\u2019 incredible career, and now, with even more opportunities to catch the show, country music lovers are in for an extraordinary experience.”<\/p>\n
The “More Life” Tour stops at Murphey Performance Hall in San Angelo Oct. 1, Waco Hippodrome Theatre in Waco Oct. 2 and Majestic Theatre in San Antonio Oct. 3.<\/p>\n
Early this year, Travis released his latest single “Horses in Heaven,<\/a>” after releasing his\u00a0first new music in more than 10 years last year<\/a> with the help of AI. \u00a0<\/p>\n
