HBO host Bill Maher had some<\/a> harsh words for the co-hosts of \u201cThe View\u201d on Monday.<\/p>\n

While interviewing actress and talk show host Drew Barrymore on his \u201cClub Random\u201d podcast, Maher admitted he doesn\u2019t think that the five women who host the ABC show are the best spokespeople for the female perspective.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I like everyone, but I don\u2019t know if they\u2019re really at this moment the best advertisement for women,\u201d he told the actress.<\/p>\n

The topic came up when \u201cThe Drew Barrymore Show\u201d host told Maher to visit New York City and be a guest on her show, which prompted Maher to talk about his friendship with several of the women on \u201cThe View.\u201d <\/p>\n

He acknowledged his fondness for them as his friends but admitted their show is \u201ca lot.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m friendly with some of the ladies on \u2018The View\u2019 and I love them but, like, that show\u2019s a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maher said to Barrymore that the hosts on \u201cThe View\u201d are not the best representation of women at this moment. YouTube\/Club Random Podcast<\/p>\n

Barrymore brought up that \u2018View\u2019 co-host Joy Behar<\/a> appeared on her show recently and Maher remarked, \u201cI love Joy.\u201d He went on to say that though he likes everybody on the ABC talk show, he\u2019s not such a fan of their talking points on the program.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey say some things that are just like, not helpful, say to elections.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maher appeared as a guest on \u201cThe View\u201d in May 2024, where he clashed with co-host Sunny Hostin about Israel\u2019s conduct in its war with Hamas.<\/p>\n

Maher insisted that he just is not a fan of the talking points on the program. Instagram\/@thedrewbarrymoreshow<\/p>\n

Hostin argued that Israel was murdering innocent Palestinian civilians and children in the conflict, and Maher pushed back. <\/p>\n

He stated that he was concerned about innocent lives being lost but insisted that Israel has the right to fight its war with Hamas and that if Hamas was concerned about innocent lives, they\u2019d stop their attacks.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s what happens in a war. Here\u2019s a way to stop that, stop attacking Israel,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Maher clashed with \u201cThe View\u201d co-host Sunny Hostin when he was a guest on the show in May 2024. ABC<\/p>\n

The HBO host also called out \u201cThe View\u201d co-host Whoopi Goldberg in recent weeks, after she claimed in July that Black people are oppressed in America the same way that women are oppressed in Iran.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is something that, again, is infuriating about the far left, I would say. Call them whatever they wanted. <\/p>\n

\u201cNot the woke, the stupid woke, like Whoopi Goldberg, love her, but when she said a couple weeks ago that being Black was the same as being a woman in Iran, it\u2019s like, yeah, in 1920, but not today,\u201d Maher said during an episode of his podcast with his guest, progressive commentator Brian Tyler Cohen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"HBO host Bill Maher had some harsh words for the co-hosts of \u201cThe View\u201d on Monday.
