\u201cSouth Park<\/a>\u201d has pulled a move that could cause Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem<\/a> to utter, \u201cYou bastards<\/a>!\u201d<\/p>\n

The long-running animated series, created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, has responded to Noem\u2019s complaints about its portrayal of her<\/a> in last week\u2019s episode, titled \u201cGot a Nut.\u201d <\/p>\n

But instead of taking a more traditional route, like releasing a statement, members of the \u201cSouth Park\u201d social media team opted for a much pettier response.<\/p>\n

They used an image of Noem in \u201cGot a Nut,\u201d which shows the MAGA loyalist\u2019s face melting, and made it the profile photo for the show\u2019s social media accounts.<\/p>\n

\u201cGot a Nut,\u201d which was the second episode of Season 27, was extremely critical of Noem. It bashed her and President Donald Trump\u2019s cruel<\/a> and extreme immigration policies<\/a> while also having a lot of fun reminding viewers of Noem\u2019s dog-killing scandal<\/a>. <\/p>\n

It also featured an ongoing joke<\/a> in which Noem\u2019s face would randomly melt off her body, prompting a team of stylists to rush in and fix it by giving her Botox. <\/p>\n

And it\u2019s the knock to Noem\u2019s vanity \u2014 and not the portrayal of her values \u2014 that really seemed to miff the former South Dakota governor.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt never ends. But it\u2019s so lazy to just constantly make fun of women for how they look. It\u2019s always the liberals and extremists [who] do that,\u201d Noem told pundit Glenn Beck on his podcast<\/a> last Thursday about her depiction in \u201cSouth Park.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf they wanted to criticize my job, go ahead and do that,\u201d Noem added. \u201cBut clearly, they can\u2019t. They just pick something petty like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSouth Park\u201d did, however, skewer how Noem does her job. In the episode, her \u201cSouth Park\u201d avatar goes as far as raiding a family-friendly \u201cDora the Explorer\u201d performance and even goes to heaven to detain Latinos to meet Trump\u2019s quota for immigrant arrests<\/a>. <\/p>\n

And though Noem said only \u201cliberals and extremists\u201d attack women for their looks, Trump himself has a long history of belittling women for their appearance, casually calling them \u201chorseface<\/a>\u201d and \u201cpig<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The show\u2019s decision to make Noem\u2019s melting face its new profile pic is also a jab at the Republican\u2019s love of social media.<\/p>\n

Ever since Noem became homeland security secretary, she has made a point of posting clips of herself spewing racist rhetoric about migrants while dolled up and wearing an on-the-nose costume<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But her melting face on \u201cSouth Park\u201d social media platforms is the show\u2019s reminder that despite Noem\u2019s efforts<\/a> to make Trump\u2019s immigration crackdown palatable, more and more Americans<\/a> are finding the policies straight-up ugly.<\/p>\n
