A search on a map website shows ATMs are scattered throughout the neighborhood. Other financial businesses there include a car title loan provider and a money transfer service. This is the only credit union or bank in Logan Heights, according to the map website.

Logan Heights is part of a federally designated Promize Zone, one of 22 across the U.S. The federal government defines these “high poverty communities where the federal government partners with local leaders to increase economic activity, improve educational opportunities, leverage private investment, reduce violent crime, enhance public health and address other priorities identified by the community.”

The credit union, which opened Saturday, identified this neighborhood as a place where it wants to expand its presence.
