{"id":138081,"date":"2025-08-11T22:44:20","date_gmt":"2025-08-11T22:44:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/138081\/"},"modified":"2025-08-11T22:44:20","modified_gmt":"2025-08-11T22:44:20","slug":"over-600000-in-cocaine-found-in-vehicle-attempting-to-cross-int-u-s-from-mexico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/138081\/","title":{"rendered":"Over $600,000 in cocaine found in vehicle attempting to cross int U.S. from Mexico"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HIDALGO, Texas &#8211; Officers have found over $600,000 of cocaine in a vehicle attempting to cross into the United States.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Hidalgo International Bridge referred a Buick SUV attempting to cross into the U.S. from Mexico for secondary inspection.<\/p>\n<p>After an inspection utilizing nonintrusive inspection equipment, as well as a K-9 team, officers began physically inspecting the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Officers were able to find 20 packages of what they believe to be cocaine, with a combined weight of 48.45 pounds. <\/p>\n<p>Investigators have given the seized cocaine an approximate street value of $647,000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs this latest interception clearly illustrates, our frontline CBP officers continue to work tirelessly to keep harmful narcotics off American streets,\u201d said Port Director Carlos Rodriguez, Hidalgo\/Pharr\/Anzalduas Port of Entry.<\/p>\n<p>CBP seized both the narcotics and the vehicle.
