NBA star Kevin Durant took to social media recently to troll fans about some of his previous playing stints.<\/p>\n
NBA star Kevin Durant<\/a> is back doing what he loves: trolling fans on social media.<\/p>\n Durant took to his personal X (formerly Twitter) account in recent days to quibble with critics about a variety of topics, including where he ranked among the Golden State Warriors\u2019<\/a> best players during the franchise\u2019s dynasty years.<\/p>\n When a commenter tried to downplay his accomplishments, Durant claimed that some Warriors fans are \u201cscarred\u201d by the fact he won back-to-back NBA Finals MVP awards in 2017 and 2018 over the likes of Stephen Curry<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThem finals mvps I won hurt you,\u201d Durant, also known as @KDTrey5, wrote<\/a>. \u201cScarred alot of warrior fans when my name was announced.\u201d<\/p>\n After another poster asked \u201cY do warriors fans hate KD,\u201d Durant fired back once more.<\/p>\n \u201cThem finals mvps, they will never recover,\u201d he wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Kevin Durant Will Return to OKC on Opening Night<\/p>\n The 36-year-old Durant, who was traded to the Houston Rockets<\/a> as part of an historic seven-team deal<\/a> in July, will be on the opposite side of the court when the Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a> receive their NBA championship rings on Opening Night.<\/p>\n Durant spent his first nine NBA seasons with the Seattle\/Oklahoma City franchise prior to signing with Golden State in the summer of 2016. The superstar\u2019s decision to leave for the league\u2019s latest superteam rankled many fans, who claimed that he was chasing a title.<\/p>\n On Saturday, a Thunder fan reminded Durant of his highly publicized departure and asked what he will be thinking when he returns to Oklahoma City in October.<\/p>\n Durant responded by taking a playful dig of the organization, which won its first title since relocating from Seattle in 2008.<\/p>\n \u201cFinally,\u201d Durant tweeted<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s been 10 years, bout time they win one lmaooo.\u201d<\/p>\n The Thunder outlasted the Indiana Pacers<\/a> in a thrilling seven-game series in June, with guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander<\/a> leading the way.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Kevin Durant Joins New Big Three in Houston<\/p>\n After spending parts of three seasons with the Phoenix Suns<\/a>, Durant is joining a resurgent Rockets squad coming off a 52-win campaign. As part of one of the league\u2019s newest Big Threes with Alperen Sengun<\/a> and Amen Thompson<\/a>, the 15-time All-Star and future Hall of Famer will be expected to provide immediate high-level scoring.<\/p>\n Durant, who averaged 26.6 points on 52.7% shooting last season, is entering the final year of a four-year, $194 million deal he signed with the Brooklyn Nets<\/a> in 2021.
