{"id":138724,"date":"2025-08-12T04:15:10","date_gmt":"2025-08-12T04:15:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/138724\/"},"modified":"2025-08-12T04:15:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-12T04:15:10","slug":"szczesny-was-warned-about-ter-stegen-when-he-joined-barcelona-not-an-easy-man","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/138724\/","title":{"rendered":"Szczesny was warned about Ter Stegen when he joined Barcelona &#8211; &#8216;Not an easy man&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While there is much <a href=\"https:\/\/barcauniversal.com\/barcelona-working-against-time-to-resolve-player-registration-and-camp-nou-return-issues\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">excitement at Barcelona surrounding new signing Joan Garcia<\/a> this summer, it must be acknowledged that Wojciech Szczesny was the real hero for the club last season.<\/p>\n<p>The Polish veteran was one of La Liga\u2019s best goalkeepers last season, producing a series of consistent performances that ultimately helped Barcelona secure the domestic treble.<\/p>\n<p>However, the road wasn\u2019t always easy for Szczesny, who faced immense pressure from Marc-Andre ter Stegen when he had initially recovered from his injury during the backend of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Szczesny was warned about ter Stegen<\/p>\n<p>To that end, Polish journalist Mateusz Swiecicki has recently revealed that Szczesny was warned about ter Stegen when the German had returned from injury.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWhen Szczesny arrived in Barcelona, he received information that when Marc returned, he should be understanding with him because he is not an easy man,\u201d <\/strong>Swiecicki said (h\/t <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mundodeportivo.com\/futbol\/fc-barcelona\/20250811\/1002513187\/szczesny-le-avisaron-ter-stegen-hombre-facil.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mundo Deportivo<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The journalist further added: \u201c<strong>Ter Stegen is a unique personality.
