The set rules Billboard\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/soundtracks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Soundtracks<\/a> chart for a seventh week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tNotably, \u201cGolden\u201d is the ninth song associated with Korean pop to conquer the Hot 100 \u2014 and the first by female lead vocalists. It joins \u201cSeven\u201d by Jung Kook (featuring Latto) and \u201cLike Crazy\u201d by Jimin, both of BTS, in 2023, and BTS\u2019 six No. 1s in 2020-21: \u201cSavage Love (Laxed \u2013 Siren Beat),\u201d with Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo; \u201cDynamite\u201d; \u201cLife Goes On\u201d; \u201cButter\u201d; \u201cPermission To Dance\u201d; and \u201cMy Universe,\u201d with Coldplay. (HUNTR\/X singers EJAE and REI AMI were born in Seoul, South Korea; Nuna is from New Jersey.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cGolden\u201d is also the first IRL Hot 100 No. 1 by any act with a fictional background since the ensemble No. 1 \u201cWe Don\u2019t Talk About Bruno,\u201d which reigned for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/we-dont-talk-about-bruno-encanto-hot-100-fifth-week-number-one-1235037107\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">five weeks<\/a> in February-March 2022. It, too, was released from a hit animated film, Disney\u2019s Encanto, and sung by multiple vocalists as their characters in the movie.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAs for all-women collectives of three or more members, HUNTR\/X is the first to top the Hot 100 in 24 years \u2014 since Destiny\u2019s Child dominated with \u201cBootylicious\u201d for two weeks in August 2001.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tPlus, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/chappell-roan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chappell Roan<\/a>\u2019s \u201cThe Subway\u201d pulls into the Hot 100 at No. 3, marking her highest debut and rank. It makes history in the former metric, as it\u2019s the Hot 100\u2019s greatest gainer in streaming for a record-breaking sixth straight week. (It surpasses the five weekly wins in a row for Migos\u2019 \u201cBad and Boujee,\u201d featuring Lil Uzi Vert, in early 2017.) \u201cGolden\u201d debuted at No. 81 on the July 5 chart and began its streak the following week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tPlus, \u201cGolden\u201d is the first non-debuting title to clear 30 million weekly official U.S. streams since Kendrick Lamar and SZA\u2019s \u201cLuther\u201d in late March. All four have hit the top five: \u201cGood Luck, Babe!\u201d and \u201cPink Pony Club\u201d each rose to No. 4 last September and this April, respectively, and \u201cThe Giver\u201d entered at its No. 5 peak in March.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cThe Subway\u201d tallied 25.1 million streams, 787,000 in airplay audience and 6,000 sold in its first full week of tracking (no pun intended), following its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/music-news\/chappell-roan-the-subway-listen-1236034685\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">July 31 release<\/a> as a recording. Chappell Roan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/lists\/gov-ball-2024-best-moments-sabrina-carpenter-sza-post-malone\/chappell-roan-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">premiered<\/a> the song live during her Governors Ball set on June 7, 2024, and built buzz for it by playing it regularly in concert since.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t(The song becomes the highest charting Hot 100 hit with \u201csubway\u201d in its title. Petula Clark rode her classic \u201cDon\u2019t Sleep in the Subway\u201d to No. 5 in July 1967.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"pmc-fallback-list-item-wrap lrv-u-margin-b-2\">\n<p>\tRest of Top 10: \u2018Ordinary\u2019 &amp; More<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAlex Warren\u2019s \u201cOrdinary\u201d drops to No. 2 on the Hot 100 after nine nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 beginning in June. It claims an eighth week at No. 1 on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/radio-songs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Radio Songs<\/a> (73.6 million, essentially even) and an 11th week atop the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/summer-songs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Songs of the Summer chart<\/a>, having led each week since the survey made its seasonal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/songs-of-the-summer-chart-back-2025-alex-warren-ordinary-1235987923\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">return<\/a> after Memorial Day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tMorgan Wallen\u2019s \u201cWhat I Want,\u201d featuring Tate McRae, dips 3-4 on the Hot 100 after it debuted in May as Wallen\u2019s fourth No. 1 and McRae\u2019s first. It posts a 12th week at No. 1 on the multimetric <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/country-songs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hot Country Songs<\/a> chart.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tJustin Bieber\u2019s No. 2-peaking \u201cDaisies\u201d falls 4-5 on the Hot 100, two weeks after it debuted at its No. 2 high.
