Emma Stone<\/strong><\/a> felt super bad about having to keep her new look a secret.<\/p>\n

The two-time Oscar winner revealed that she wore wigs to hide her baldness after shaving her head to film her forthcoming movie Bulgonia, which is set to hit theaters Oct. 31.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was bummed I wasn\u2019t going out with it,\u201d Emma told Vogue<\/a> in an interview published Aug. 11. \u201cJust straight-up bald. I think that would have been fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

In fact, the La La Land star\u2014who stepped out in wigs for events like the New York Film Festival in October 2024\u2014shared that she was a big fan of the epic hair transformation, which she underwent on camera for a scene in Bulgonia where her character is kidnapped by two conspiracy theorists (Jesse Plemmons<\/strong><\/a> and Aidan Delbis<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

“No better feeling in the world,” the 36-year-old said of shaving her head. “The first shower when you\u2019ve shaved your head? Oh my god, it\u2019s amazing.”<\/p>\n

However, Emma\u2014who shares daughter Louise Jean<\/strong><\/a>, 4, with husband Dave McCary<\/strong><\/a>\u2014admitted ahw did cry over the change to her appearance, when she remembered how her mom Krista Stone<\/strong> lost all her hair years ago during treatment for breast cancer.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe actually did something brave,\u201d Emma recalled thinking. \u201cI\u2019m just shaving my head.\u201d<\/p>\n

But ultimately, her mom encouraged the dramatic transformation as well. As Emma explained, “My mom was like, \u2018I\u2019m so jealous. I want to shave my head again.\u2019”<\/p>\n

After all, the Hunger Games alum wasn’t in support of the shaggy bangs Emma adopted to portray tennis legend Billie Jean King<\/strong> in 2017’s Battle of the Sexes either.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really didn\u2019t want her to shave her head,\u201d Jennifer quipped to Vogue. \u201cI had already lived through the Billie Jean King haircut.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the end, however, the No Hard Feelings actress came around.<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly, she looked beautiful,\u201d Jennifer said. \u201cShe pulled it off.\u201d<\/p>\n
