{"id":139695,"date":"2025-08-12T12:53:11","date_gmt":"2025-08-12T12:53:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/139695\/"},"modified":"2025-08-12T12:53:11","modified_gmt":"2025-08-12T12:53:11","slug":"two-chicago-men-charged-in-separate-hit-and-run-and-dui-fatal-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/139695\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Chicago men charged in separate hit-and-run and DUI fatal crash"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\"><strong>CHICAGO<\/strong> &#8211; Two Chicago men are facing felony charges in separate crashes this year that left one person critically injured and another dead, according to Illinois State Police.<\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">What we know:<\/p>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">The first crash happened Feb. 2 in the 8000 block of South Lafayette Avenue, near I-94. A white Jaguar struck a pedestrian and fled the scene. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with critical injuries.<\/p>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">After months of investigation, state police identified the driver as Antonio Jackson, 32, of Chicago.<\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/jackson.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-v-0dea8073=\"\"\/>  <\/p>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">On Aug. 5, Jackson was arrested and charged with:<\/p>\n<ul original-article-post=\"\" data-v-03e8ff79=\"\" data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">\n<li class=\"article-ct\" data-v-03e8ff79=\"\">Failure to report an accident with injury (Class 2 felony)<\/li>\n<li class=\"article-ct\" data-v-03e8ff79=\"\">Leaving the scene of a personal injury crash (Class 4 felony)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">He is being held pending his first court appearance.<\/p>\n<p> Second crash <\/p>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">The second case occurred Aug. 5 on southbound I-94 at 95th Street, where a crash led to a fatality.<\/p>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">Authorities say 47-year-old Alassane Tchandikou of Hinsdale exited his vehicle after a crash and was hit by a passing white Kia. Tchandikou later died at the hospital.<\/p>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">The driver of the Kia, 34-year-old Marques D. Worrell of Chicago, was also injured.
