CHICAGO — A new Chicago bus tour will focus on the life and legacy of Pope Leo XIV.<\/a><\/p>\n

The “Chicago Pope Tour” will visit meaningful sites from Pope Leo’s upbringing.<\/p>\n

The tour begins at the Holy Name Cathedral, where Pope Leo’s parents married in the late 1940s, according to the tour website.<\/p>\n

For two-and-a-half hours, the tour promises to stop at his birthplace on the South Side, his childhood church and home, along with live narration.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, the Dolton Village Board voted to purchase Pope Leo XIV’s childhood home. The property at 212 East 141st Place got a quick facelift as the village says it hopes to convert the place into a historic site.<\/p>\n

And what’s Chicago without some pizza? Customers will receive 20% off at Aurelio’s, notoriously known as Pope Leo’s favorite pizza joint.<\/p>\n

The first tour is scheduled on Thursday, August 14 at 10 a.m. Tickets start at $65.<\/p>\n
