\n\tOwen Wilson is back in the Focker fold<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actor, currently starring in Apple TV+\u2019s well-reviewed Stick<\/a>, is joining Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro in Universal\u2019s latest installment of its Meet the Parents<\/a> comedy movie series.<\/p>\n

\n\tTeri Polo, who also starred in the initial trio of movies that were released in the 2000s, is returning to the call sheet as well, with Oscar-nominated pop superstar Ariana Grande<\/a> the big fresh face for the feature.<\/p>\n

\n\tJohn Hamburg, who co-wrote all three prior films, wrote the screenplay for the new feature and is set to direct. Universal has dated the film for Nov. 25, 2026.\u00a0Paramount Pictures will co-produce and distribute the film internationally.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe initial movie, released in 2000, focused on a man named Greg Focker, played by Stiller, and his desire to gain the approval and blessing of the stern father of his girlfriend. The movies later grew to become family affairs, expanding the sets of in-laws (2004\u2019s Meet the Fockers added Dustin Hoffman and Barbara Streisand) and kids (2010\u2019s Little Fockers).<\/p>\n

\n\tWilson had scene-stealing bits in first movie as the ex-fianc\u00e9 of the girlfriend, played by Polo. He was wealthy, loved by the parents and a man of many talents, including carpentry. The character popped up in the two sequels as well. Wilson will be reprising the part. The move reunites him with Hamburg, who helmed the last two episodes of Stick.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile much of the plot for the new installment remains under lock and key,\u00a0The Hollywood Reporter\u00a0can reveal that one story point revolves around the son of Stiller and Polo\u2019s characters, who gets engaged to a ball-busting woman who seems all wrong for him. Grande will play the fianc\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

\n\tJane Rosenthal and De Niro are producing through their Tribeca Productions. Roach will produce through his Delirious Media. Stiller will produce with and John Lesher via their Red Hour Films banner. Hamburg will produce through Particular Pictures.<\/p>\n

\n\tWilson hasn\u2019t appeared on the big screen since 2023\u2019s Haunted Mansion, which struggled at the box office. That same year, he reprised his role of Time Variance Authority bureaucrat Mobius in season two of Disney+ series Loki<\/a>.<\/p>\n
