Irish band Just Mustard<\/strong> have announced their third album, WE WERE JUST HERE<\/a>, which will be out October 24 via Partisan Records. It was produced by guitarist David Noonan and the band, with mixing handled by David Wrench (Frank Ocean, FKA twigs).<\/p>\n

\u201cThe vocal structure was the most important thing,\u201d Noonan says of the approach to this album which they say is more melodic than previous records. \u201cWith choruses bursting with melody and brightness, [Katie] Ball\u2019s vocals rise higher in the mix throughout the album. Her lyrics can be ingested as a conflicted and toxic grasp at positivity, or a cathartic breakthrough into bliss.\u201d<\/p>\n

WE WERE JUST HERE includes recent since \u201cPOLYANNA<\/a>\u201d and they\u2019ve now shared the title track. Katie Ball says, \u201cI was trying to write more optimistically, and feeling like a fraud sometimes. I was trying to put myself in places of physical joy to try and get that euphoric feeling.\u201d It\u2019s got Just Mustard\u2019s signature blend of shoegaze and electronics but there\u2019s just a little sunshine here too. Just Mustard will be in the US in September<\/a>, playing Boston\u2019s Seisi\u00fan Festival<\/a> and then Brooklyn\u2019s National Sawdust on September 9<\/a>. All dates are below.<\/p>\n
