He missed the decisive spot-kick in the Community Shield, and he was unable to earn a permanent move.

Sancho went on loan to Chelsea, but a permanent move fell apart. Chelsea paid £5 million not to sign the winger for a £25 million option. The former Dortmund star was unwilling to take a wage cut.

He is one of five members of United’s ‘bomb squad’ who have been omitted from training, along with Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia and Antony. Only Marcus Rashford has managed to seal an exit, loaned out to Barcelona.

Transfer insider Graeme Bailey tells United In Focus that Jadon Sancho is prepared to sit on the sidelines and collect a wage at Manchester United without playing if he cannot get the move he wants.

Juventus and Borussia Dortmund have been linked to Sancho, and to make a deal happen, United would have to heavily subsidise his wages.

Bailey explains: “Jadon Sancho has made it clear that he will only move on his terms. We saw him rejected a wage drop to join Chelsea and a Napoli chance passed him by for similar reasons.

“Juventus believe they are close and once Nico Gonzalez is sold that deal will become more likely, but United are going to have to pay, be it for a loan or permanent. Then there is Dortmund, who Sancho has also been talking to.

“If he wanted to move to Germany then again that would cost United. As it stands United say they have dropped his price and are not going to massively subsidise his move.

“The message we are getting is that Sancho has made it clear to United that he is prepared to sit and not play until January or beyond unless he gets the deal he wants.”

Alejandro Garnacho latest

Jadon Sancho is taking the most extreme approach with his exit stand-off, but the problem is not unique to his situation.

There is currently under a week to go before the Premier League season begins, and Manchester United have not completed a single permanent player sale.

Alejandro Garnacho is determined to secure the move Jadon Sancho blew, a permanent switch to Chelsea, and he is singularly focused on this transfer.

Bailey explains that United have been unsuccessful so far in getting Chelsea to bite at their valuation of the winger.

“I am even told that Chelsea could be looking at £30 million, this is another problem for United. It’s going to be a complicated few weeks trying to move some of these players on.”

Antony has told Manchester United that he is determined to land a move to Real Betis and is not interested in other options at present.

Bailey adds: “United are being backed into a corner with their bomb squad at the moment.

“The problem is with them, Sancho, Garnacho and Antony, and we can include unofficial member Hojlund, all interested clubs know United want them out, and that they don’t want them at the club going into September.”

Manchester United are having trouble offloading some of the club’s unwanted players and the case of Jadon Sancho…

[45
24776,221,62,67,132,68
0":"post-140597","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-soccer","8":"tag-jadon-sancho","9":"tag-soccer","10":"tag-sports","11":"tag-united-states","12":"tag-unitedstates","13":"tag-us
["GET
