It takes plenty of stamina to make it through the park, which features trampolines, a ninja course, dodgeball, a jousting pit, and a ropes course among its exhausting options. Toddlers who are not yet bouncing off the walls can play in a specialized zone that includes a classic ball pit.

The company is also mindful of different types of kids. Each month, the locations offer a two-hour sensory exploration block with softer music and all specialty lights shut off. Children aged 7 and under get their run of the place on three mornings a week, ensuring safe play. During Friday and Saturday’s Neon Nights, older kids can run wild in a rave-like environment with thumping music.

The ninja course’s design lands somewhere between Nickelodeon and a Berlin nightclub.PlayNRG.com

Only one park has opened thus far in Springfield, New Jersey, but 13 locations will soon follow across the country, including three in Texas: San Antonio, Austin, and Plano. Pavilions North, located across the highway from North Star Mall, has plenty of empty space due to the collapse of Joann and Conn’s HomePlus.

According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) project page, the $205,000 remodel aims to wrap up by April 2026. Although the San Antonio NRG is listed on the company website as “coming soon,” it has not released a formal opening date and TDLR filings are no guarantee of an actual timeline.

Once it does debut, it will face competition from a similar concept expanding in Central Texas. In April, Launch Entertainment announced it was opening six parks in the area, split evenly between San Antonio and Austin.

A high-flying new family entertainment complex will soon be bouncing into San Antonio’s Northeast Side.
