{"id":140708,"date":"2025-08-12T21:44:10","date_gmt":"2025-08-12T21:44:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/140708\/"},"modified":"2025-08-12T21:44:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-12T21:44:10","slug":"father-son-duo-extradited-from-mexico-to-houston-on-child-sex-abuse-charges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/140708\/","title":{"rendered":"Father, son duo extradited from Mexico to Houston on child sex abuse charges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\"><strong>HOUSTON<\/strong> \u2013 Two men, a father and son duo, was arrested and extradited from Mexico to Houston on multiple counts of child sex abuse charges against two minors, Harris County District Attorney Sean Teare announced.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Francisco Castillo Lopez, 42, has been charged with ten felonies: including five counts of indecency with a child, three counts of aggravated sex assault of a child, and two counts of continuous sex abuse of a child. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">His father, Francisco Castillo Ortiz, 62, has been charged with aggravated sex assault of a child and indecency with a child.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Both are U.S. citizens and were charged with these offenses in 2021 and 2023.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">They were arrested in April of this year and are now in custody of local law enforcement in Houston.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cIf you commit heinous crimes like this in Harris County, know this: we will bring you to justice\u2014no matter where you run,\u201d said Harris County District Attorney Sean Teare. \u201cOur prosecutors and Fugitive Apprehension Unit are second to none, and I couldn\u2019t be prouder of their tireless work in starting to bring these defendants to justice. Most importantly, our thoughts remain with the two girls who endured unimaginable abuse. This case has always been about them, and we are committed to delivering the justice they deserve.
