\n\tJimmy Kimmel<\/a> has revealed he has obtained Italian citizenship amid the chaotic presidency of Donald Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tKimmel could potentially join high-profile celebrities leaving the United States as Trump\u2019s power continues to go unchecked in his second term at the White House.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile making an appearance on The Sarah Silverman Podcast<\/a>, the show\u2019s host said, \u201cA lot of people I know are thinking about, where are they going to get citizenship?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTo which the ABC late-night talk show host said, \u201cI did get Italian citizenship.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhat\u2019s going on [with Trump] is as bad as you thought it was gonna be,\u201d he added. \u201cIt\u2019s so much worse. It\u2019s just unbelievable. I feel like it\u2019s probably even worse than he would like it to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKimmel, who has been vocal about disliking Donald Trump, says he doesn\u2019t hold it against anyone who voted for the former reality TV show host.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cNow you see these clips of Joe Rogan saying, \u2018Why is he doing this? Why are you deporting people?\u2019 And people go, \u2018F**k you! You supported him.\u2019 I don\u2019t buy into that,\u201d Kimmel said. \u201cThe door has to stay open. If you want to change your mind, that\u2019s so hard to do. If you want to admit you were wrong, that is so hard and so rare to do. You are welcome.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter CBS announced that The Late Show with Stephen Colbert would be ending its run<\/a> at the end of the 2025-26 season, Trump took to social media to take jabs at Kimmel and said he would be canceled next.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe word is, and it\u2019s a strong word at that, Jimmy Kimmel is NEXT to go in the untalented Late Night Sweepstakes and, shortly thereafter, Fallon will be gone,\u201d Trump posted on Truth Social. \u201cThese are people with absolutely NO TALENT, who were paid Millions of Dollars for, in all cases, destroying what used to be GREAT Television. It\u2019s really good to see them go, and I hope I played a major part in it!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKimmel clapped back<\/a>, saying, \u201cI\u2019m hearing you\u2019re next. Or maybe it\u2019s just another wonderful secret.\u201d<\/p>\n
