Tottenham Hotspur will make their long-awaited return to the Champions League this season, and fans will once again be treated to the sight of Gareth Bale.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Welshman announced himself on the world stage when he scored a stunning hat-trick against Inter Milan at the San Siro in 2010, despite losing the match 4-3.<\/p>\n

Despite a tough 2024\/25 Premier League campaign in which they finished in seventeenth place, Ange Postecoglou guided Tottenham to Europa League glory in the final against Manchester United<\/a> in Bilbao.<\/p>\n

The winner of the Europa League secures qualification to the Champions League<\/a>, which will now see Thomas Frank<\/a> looking to compete on multiple fronts for Tottenham this season.<\/p>\n

Bale<\/a> will be back on the television screen for the 2025\/26 season not only in the Champions League, but also the Premier League to act as one of the broadcaster\u2019s punditry panel.<\/p>\n

The 36-year-old is said to have impressed during his appearance on TNT Sports for the Europa League final and will help to fill the void left by Rio Ferdinand after the former defender decided against signing a new deal.<\/p>\n

Bale will appear on TNT Sports\u2019 Premier League<\/a> on Saturday lunchtimes, which could see him called up for duty for Tottenham\u2019s trip to Manchester City on August 23rd.<\/p>\n

It has not been confirmed as of yet whether Bale will be part of the panel for Tottenham\u2019s UEFA Super Cup final against PSG<\/a> on Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n

Speaking after the Europa League final, Gareth Bale called on Tottenham to keep investing in the playing squad<\/a> ahead of the new season.<\/p>\n

With James Maddison having suffered an ACL injury<\/a>, Tottenham are desperately short of a creative influence in midfield and also missed out on a deal for Morgan Gibbs-White<\/a> who remained at Nottingham Forest.<\/p>\n

Despite it having been in pre-season, Tottenham\u2019s 4-0 defeat at Bayern Munich<\/a> last week was yet another stark reminder of the gulf between the top European clubs in Spurs at this moment in time.<\/p>\n

If Daniel Levy<\/a> expects Thomas Frank to be able to compete adequately in the Premier League and Champions League this season, he must be backed in the current transfer window and the clock is ticking.<\/p>\n
