months after we reported about the incident<\/a>.<\/p>\nKENS 5 spoke to a renter at Platinum Shavano Oaks Apartments about the suspect in May. Since then, another renter has come forward with a sighting at a different location within the complex.<\/p>\n
Alison said she was sitting on her balcony on July 13 when she saw the man walking around. At the time, she was unaware of the May incident \u2014 but she still called 911.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thought he looked strange because he had what I thought was a pole in his hand and then I came to find out it was a selfie stick,\u201d Alison said. \u201cI looked down because he was on his hands and knees, in front of the window underneath me, with his phone extended through the balcony.\u201d<\/p>\n
She said police arrived but could not find the man. Later, she discovered the same behavior had been caught on camera at another building.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thought, this must be a regular thing for him,\u201d Alison said. \u201cHe looked very comfortable here.\u201d<\/p>\n
Concerned, Alison began reaching out to other residents. Eventually, a group of about 30 neighbors formed a group chat.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe really banded together \u2014 residents made flyers and put them on people\u2019s doors,\u201d Alison said.<\/p>\n
The flyer caught the attention of the apartment complex management. At the end of July, they held a safety meeting with the San Antonio Police Department.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey told us that this man used to live here and that he was evicted in 2023 for this same behavior,\u201d Alison said. \u201cThey told us they know who he is and that there\u2019s a felony warrant out for his arrest.\u201d<\/p>\n
However, police would not share his identity, only providing a description. SAPD told KENS 5 they do not release the identity of suspects or information about warrants until there is an arrest.<\/p>\n
One woman, who spoke to us anonymously, fears the man\u2019s behavior will escalate if he\u2019s not caught.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf they\u2019re asking us directly what we want \u2014 a mugshot, an actual picture of this person \u2014 anything would be helpful,\u201d she said. \u201cWe\u2019re not asking for the world, we\u2019re not asking to catch him tomorrow. But we need to feel safe.\u201d<\/p>\n
Residents say they have seen some improvements. Since the meeting, security has been upgraded and gate codes have been changed.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy concern is that if he doesn\u2019t get caught, somebody\u2019s going to get hurt. That he\u2019s going to escalate his crimes from just watching to hurting someone,\u201d Alison said.<\/p>\n
The complex\u2019s owner, Willow Bridge Property Company, released the following statement:<\/p>\n
