In Sherman, GlobalWafers has broken ground on a $3.5 billion silicon wafer facility \u2014 America\u2019s first in over 20 years. Foxconn is expanding in Houston. And this fall, EVA Air will launch direct flights from Taipei to Dallas, connecting two global innovation hubs overnight.<\/p>\n Texas is responding in kind. In 2024, Gov. Greg Abbott traveled to Taipei to sign a landmark economic cooperation agreement. Just months later, the State of Texas opened its first official representative office in Taiwan<\/a>.
