Robert Plant said in a new interview with Mojo Magazine that \u201cmost people\u201d miss the greatest songs Led Zeppelin made.<\/p>\n
Speaking in a cover story published in Mojo\u2019s October 2025 issue<\/a>, Plant said that \u201cmost people have missed some of the best Zeppelin stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018For Your Life\u2019, on Presence. \u2018Achilles Last Stand!\u2019 Fucking hell,\u201d Plant continued. \u201cJust extraordinary that three people and a singer can do that. Really, they were pulling so much stuff out of the unknown, Bonham and Jones together on \u2018For Your Life\u2019. It\u2019s just insane. And Jimmy, just\u2026 (exhales).\u201d<\/p>\n Mojo asked Plant whether he was ever content just to play Led Zeppelin\u2019s hits in his solo career. <\/p>\n \u201cWhat were the hits? How can they be related to now, where do they fit? They fit as a sort of memoir,\u201d Plant replied. \u201cWhen people say that I don\u2019t like \u2018Stairway To Heaven\u2019, I just don\u2019t like the idea of it. These iconic things \u2013 they\u2019re just what they are.\u201d<\/p>\n Elsewhere in the interview, Plant again expressed his support for Bruce Springsteen\u2019s recent comments on US politics.<\/p>\n \u201cThere are people I know that say I should say what I think, but there\u2019s so many strands to it,\u201d Plant said. \u201cIt\u2019s a slow death of everything we ever loved. From an American viewpoint, I could only add my support to Bruce Springsteen because he actually knows it, he lives in it.\u201d<\/p>\n In May, Plant publicly expressed his support for Springsteen<\/a> after he delivered a series of speeches opposing Donald Trump.<\/p>\n While introducing the song \u201cFriends\u201d during his performance with Saving Grace in Tampere, Finland on May 18, Plant said: \u201cRight now in England, which is where we come from \u2013 not quite the land of the ice and snow, Bruce Springsteen is touring right now in the UK and he\u2019s putting out some really serious stuff. So tune in to him. And let\u2019s all hope that we can be\u2026\u201d The band then began performing \u201cFriends\u201d.<\/p>\n Plant\u2019s comments were in reference to speeches Springsteen delivered during his European tour. In the tour\u2019s opening show in Manchester in the UK on May 14, Springsteen said: \u201cIn my home, the America I love, the America I\u2019ve written about, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous administration.
