On <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=V6hx-7CQgfU\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kevin Harvick\u2019s Happy Hour<\/a>, Harvick reflected on how NASCAR met with himself, <strong>Kyle Busch<\/strong> and <strong>Martin Truex Jr.<\/strong> because of how much they were winning. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ll never forget the conversation that I had sitting in the trailer at Charlotte, it was myself, Martin Truex (Jr.) and Kyle Busch,\u201d Kevin Harvick said. \u201cNASCAR says, \u2018Yep, going away from these rules. You guys are winning too many races. So we\u2019re going to mix it up. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s where we got the 550 package. I\u2019m not with them. I don\u2019t understand why we don\u2019t celebrate greatness, why we don\u2019t wrap our arms around when somebody\u2019s doing something great instead of trying to gripe and complain about it. That\u2019s why we\u2019re not developing as many heroes like we used to have.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When Harvick said the \u201c550 package,\u201d he was referring to what NASCAR did to the cars starting in 2019. At the time, NASCAR introduced a rule package where the car\u2019s horsepower was reduced to 550. <\/p>\n<p>Kevin Harvick doesn\u2019t understand why greatness isn\u2019t celebrated<\/p>\n<p>Harvick didn\u2019t reveal when that meeting took place, but the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season saw himself, Truex and Busch reach the Championship Four. The three drivers won at least four races that season, but it was <strong>Joey Logano<\/strong> who won the Cup Series title. <\/p>\n<p>If there are criticisms about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/pro\/news\/nascar-insiders-go-toe-to-toe-over-shane-van-gisbergen-goat-narrative\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shane van Gisbergen winning four Cup Series races<\/a> in his rookie season, it\u2019s because his four victories have come on road courses. On oval tracks, van Gisbergen has not earned a top-10 finish yet this year. This has led to him being in 25th place in Cup points, but because of his four wins, van Gisbergen has 22 playoff points and could make his way to the round of eight of the playoffs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s crazy that it\u2019s hated instead of celebrated,\u201d Harvick said. \u201cWhy don\u2019t we celebrate greatness?
