{"id":14255,"date":"2025-06-25T19:03:16","date_gmt":"2025-06-25T19:03:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/14255\/"},"modified":"2025-06-25T19:03:16","modified_gmt":"2025-06-25T19:03:16","slug":"pedestrian-dies-after-getting-hit-by-vehicle-on-phoenix-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/14255\/","title":{"rendered":"Pedestrian dies after getting hit by vehicle on Phoenix road"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHOENIX \u2013 A pedestrian died after getting hit by a vehicle as he crossed a central Phoenix street on Tuesday night, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>Officers responded to a collision call in the area of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/E+Osborn+Rd+%26+N+18th+St,+Phoenix,+AZ+85016\/@33.4874879,-112.0437664,1797m\/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x872b0d813a9289e3:0x50632aa162027115!8m2!3d33.4874879!4d-112.0437664!16s%2Fg%2F11f3286291!5m1!1e1?entry=ttu&amp;g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDYyMi4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">18th Street and Osborn Road<\/a>, just west of State Route 51, around 9:40 p.m., according to the Phoenix Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>When they arrived, they found a pedestrian, 34-year-old Nicholas Chris Davidson, in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p>He was taken to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Was driver who struck pedestrian arrested?<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the vehicle that struck Davidson remained at the scene and was cooperative with officers. Impairment is not believed to be a factor, police said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPreliminary information suggests Davidson was in the designated crosswalk when he was struck by the vehicle,\u201d Sgt.
