The Mountain Goats<\/a> are reissuing<\/a> their beloved 2005 album, The Sunset Tree<\/a>, for its 20th anniversary. The newly remastered edition is out October 17 via 4AD<\/a>. The album houses \u201cThis Year,\u201d long considered<\/a> the band\u2019s most popular song until \u201cNo Children\u201d saw a surge in popularity<\/a> via TikTok. John Darnielle<\/a> made The Sunset Tree with producer John Vanderslice and a band featuring bassist Peter Hughes, pianist Franklin Bruno, cellist Erik Friedlander, drummer Alex DeCarville, and keyboardist Scott Solter. The new edition was remastered at Abbey Road Studios<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Beginning next month, the Mountain Goats will head back on tour as they support their latest album, 2023\u2019s Jenny From Thebes<\/a>. See the band\u2019s schedule below.<\/p>\n
