In 2018, on \u201cOkra<\/a>,\u201d Tyler, the Creator<\/a> rapped, \u201cTell Tim Chalamet to come get at me.\u201d Well, the actor\u2019s finally taken the rapper up on his offer. The first trailer for Marty Supreme<\/a>\u2014director Josh Safdie\u2019s new A24<\/a> film that stars Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/a> as table tennis star Marty Mauser\u2014is here, and it features Chalamet, Tyler, the Creator (credited as Tyler Okonma), Gwyneth Paltrow, Fran Drescher, and others. Josh Safdie co-wrote Marty Supreme with Ronald Bronstein, a writer on Good Time<\/a>, Uncut Gems<\/a>, and more. It\u2019s the first feature film that Safdie has not co-directed with his younger brother, Benny, since his 2008 debut, The Pleasure of Being Robbed. The new movie\u2014out December 25\u2014will feature<\/a> original music from longtime Safdie collaborator Daniel Lopatin.<\/p>\n

Tyler, the Creator has acted over the years\u2014primarily in his own projects, Loiter Squad<\/a>, and numerous music videos, like the newly released clip for \u201cSugar on My Tongue<\/a>\u201d\u2014but Marty Supreme brings him his first major film role. Marty Supreme is also the first big project from Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet since he played Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown<\/a>.<\/p>\n
