At its peak, viewers could see up to 100 streaks every hour, which is high compared to the average peak meteor shower rate of <a data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.weather.gov\/fsd\/meteorhttps:\/\/www.weather.gov\/fsd\/meteor\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:at least 15 meteors every hour;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">at least 15 meteors every hour<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Viewers who missed the peak can still see some of the action over the next few nights if they watch in a dark area away from city lights and look to the northeast before sunrise.
