And this time, it\u2019s not the only location on the chopping block.<\/p>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">The city\u2019s new library director believes the system needs an overhaul.<\/p>\n<p> Dallas Library Closures  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Librabry_Books_-_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-v-0dea8073=\"\"\/>  <\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">What we know:<\/p>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">As Dallas city council members discuss a proposed $5.2 billion budget, they are looking at ways to make cuts.<\/p>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">That includes closing the beloved Skillman Southwestern Branch Library in Northeast Dallas, along with four other branches.<\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">The backstory:<\/p>\n<p data-v-7f0a623e=\"\">Last year, neighbors fought to save the Skillman library.
