Read on for more essential Alamo City food news.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Openings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Guerito&#8217;s Tacos <\/strong>is now tempting shoppers at Ingram Park Mall. On August 1, the San Antonio taqueria chain <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DM0X3MDu5kW\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">opened<\/a> its latest outpost in the shopping center&#8217;s food court, serving Tijuana-style street tacos and a colorful row of aguas frescas.<\/p>\n<p>A new Southtown food truck is cooking up breakfast at <strong>Eight Ball Coffee<\/strong>. <strong>Bagel Babes<\/strong> recently opened at 1432 S. St. Mary&#8217;s St., serving, surprise, bagel sandwiches. The trailer originally intended to debut on August 4, but delayed the opening to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DM6wSacNaIS\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">fine-tune its bread recipe<\/a>. On August 6, it was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DNAtdqGgmco\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">ready to go<\/a> with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DNIitmmt1sH\/?img_index=1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">menu<\/a> that covers smoked salmon, Black Forest ham, and gyro meat.<\/p>\n<p>Out with ice cream, in with more ice cream. Following the early 2025 <a href=\"https:\/\/sanantonio.culturemap.com\/news\/restaurants-bars\/garaje-cantina-closes-make-ready\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">closure<\/a> of <strong>Casa Morgana Gelatos<\/strong>, visitors to downtown&#8217;s <strong>Make Ready Market<\/strong> can once again get scoops. <strong>Spooniverse<\/strong>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/thespooniverseisreal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">soft serve shop<\/a> with a cereal bar, is now open in the food hall. The fun kicks off with a wine tasting on Thursday, August 14, followed by a New Orleans-themed Friday lunch, an oyster party, and Clay &amp; Cuisine \u2014 where diners get to take home a handcrafted ceramic bowl made by local artist Jesselyn Gordon.
