Taylor Swift<\/a> took it back to the early days of her romance with Travis Kelce on her New Heights podcast debut.\n<\/p>\n On Wednesday, Aug. 13, the 14-time Grammy winner, 35, made her first appearance on the New Heights podcast hosted by her boyfriend Kelce<\/a> and his brother, Jason Kelce<\/a>, and reflected on the unconventional beginnings of her relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs star.\n<\/p>\n Kelce, 35, famously spoke about wanting to give Swift his number via friendship bracelet after attending her Eras Tour show in 2023, and being disappointed when a meet and greet didn’t pan out.\n<\/p>\n On the podcast, Swift called the move a “wild, romantic gesture” \u2014 and teased her beau for making his disappointment known.\n<\/p>\n “This dude didn’t get a meet and greet and he’s making it everyone’s problem,” she joked. “That’s what I thought at first… You realize he didn’t even reach out to our management. He came with Pat [Mahomes] and he thought that because he knows the elevator lady, that he could talk to her about just getting down to my dressing room.”\n<\/p>\n Swift said Kelce’s grand gesture “felt more like I was in an ’80s John Hughes movie, and he was standing outside of my window with a boombox saying, ‘I want to date you! Do you want to go on a date with me? I made you a friendship bracelet! Do you want to date me?” she said, referencing the movie Say Anything.\n<\/p>\n Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift in Baltimore in January 2024.<\/p>\n Patrick Smith\/Getty<\/p>\n At that point, Kelce joked that all he wanted was for Swift to “just meet me once, just give me a chance.”\n<\/p>\n The singer-songwriter then quipped, “I was like, ‘If this guy’s not crazy, this is sort of what I’ve been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager.'”\n<\/p>\n The athlete joked that he used the Eras Tour setlist as a blueprint to win Swift’s heart: “I was sitting there at the Eras Tour listening to every single one of those songs being like, ‘I know exactly what she wants me to do’… I’m the luckiest man in the world.”\n<\/p>\n Swift agreed, noting, “It was wild, but it worked. I’m glad it worked.”\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Jason, 37, and Travis teased Swift’s appearance on the podcast<\/a> on Monday, Aug. 11 with a picture of her silhouette seated between them. “92%ers, we\u2019re coming back early for a special episode with a VERY special guest New episode Wednesday 7PM ET,” the Instagram post read<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n The social media post also featured an orange glittery background, leading fans to believe a new album announcement was on the way (spoiler: it was). Just as the podcast went live, Swift shared additional details about the record, including an album cover and Oct. 3 release date, on Instagram<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Swift announced the title of her 12th album<\/a>, The Life of a Showgirl, in another previous clip with the help of the Kelce brothers. \u00a0“Can I show you something?” Swift asked Jason in the video<\/a>, pulling out a mint green briefcase with her initials on them in orange lettering. “This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl,” Swift announced, showing off the album cover, which was blurred out at the time.\n<\/p>\n Travis opened up about his and Swift’s relationship<\/a> during an interview with GQ<\/a> published on Aug. 12. “Nothing I\u2019ve ever done has been a controlled, organized process. When I say it was so organic, we fell in love just based off the people we were sitting in a room together with,” he told the publication.\n<\/p>\n “We are two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are,” added Travis of him and Swift, who started dating in 2023<\/a>. “We share all those values.
