The Texas Medical Board said Wednesday that a Dallas physician\u2019s medical license was temporarily suspended following his arrest for indecency with a child two months ago. <\/p>\n
Dr. Lawrence Albert Bean\u2019s credentials were temporarily suspended without notice Wednesday by a disciplinary panel of the board, according to a news release. The panel determined that Bean\u2019s continuation in the practice of medicine \u201cposes a continuing threat to public welfare.\u201d<\/p>\n
The suspension decision occurred after the board panel found that police in Heath arrested the physician for indecency with a child \u2013 a second-degree felony \u2013 on June 16, the news release said. <\/p>\n
The Heath Police Department did not immediately respond to The Dallas Morning News\u2019 request for more information involving Bean\u2019s arrest. <\/p>\n

Repeated calls by The News to telephone numbers listed for Bean Wednesday evening were not answered. It was not clear if he had an attorney.<\/p>\n
Board officials said a temporary suspension hearing with notice will be held as soon as possible with 10 days\u2019 notice to Bean, unless he waives the hearing. <\/p>\n
The temporary suspension of Bean\u2019s medical license will remain in place until the board takes further action, according to the release.
