{"id":144062,"date":"2025-08-14T03:25:11","date_gmt":"2025-08-14T03:25:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/144062\/"},"modified":"2025-08-14T03:25:11","modified_gmt":"2025-08-14T03:25:11","slug":"nascar-news-shane-van-gisbergen-reveals-marriage-to-jess-dane","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/144062\/","title":{"rendered":"NASCAR news: Shane van Gisbergen reveals marriage to Jess Dane"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/530877670_18518854450017655_7707682262048144220_n-copy.jpg\" alt=\"Shane van Gisbergen reveals marriage to Jess Dane\"\/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tShane van Gisbergen with his father Robert van Gisbergen (middle) and partner Jessica Dane (right).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/speedcafe.com\/nascar-news-2025-watkins-glen-shane-van-gisbergen-svg-wins-race-report-results-highlights-video-reaction-comments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Speaking after his Watkins Glen win<\/a>, the Trackhouse Racing driver let the news slip in a video talking about life away from the track.<\/p>\n<p>While van Gisbergen was driving for Triple Eight Race Engineering in Supercars, he and Dane began dating in 2022 while she was still a shareholder of the team.<\/p>\n<p>Van Gisbergen and Dane lived together briefly in Australia and adopted a Rhodesian Ridgeback called Ronald before moving to the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Van Gisbergen took up stock car racing with Trackhouse Racing while Dane moved out of her role at Triple Eight to join General Motors, <a href=\"https:\/\/speedcafe.com\/jess-dane-lands-gm-motorsport-role-in-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first as its motorsports integration manager<\/a> and then as the <a href=\"https:\/\/speedcafe.com\/sports-car-news-jessica-dane-corvette-racing-global-gt3-progam-manager-gm-motorsport-job\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Corvette Racing program manager.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Midway through 2024, Dane sold her 30 percent stake in Triple Eight to Steve Blackmore (Southern Cross Truck Rentals) and Earl Evans (Shaw &amp; Partners).<\/p>\n<p>Van Gisbergen and Dane have kept their relationship relatively low-profile, and Speedcafe understands the wedding was a low-key affair.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Australia has been good to us, looking forward to what\u2019s next \ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\uddf8 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ociKBF6X7k\">pic.twitter.com\/ociKBF6X7k<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Shane van Gisbergen (@shanevg97) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/shanevg97\/status\/1733712472144752736?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">December 10, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In the video, van Gisbergen opened up about Ronald and his Australian Red Heeler, Steve.<\/p>\n<p>Ronald has been a regular trackside, and made his first appearance in Victory Lane at Watkins Glen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe got him at the start of \u201823 in Australia and got him that year. He was five or six months old when we got him,\u201d van Gisbergen said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were looking at getting a dog for a while. We didn\u2019t plan to move to the States at that point.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo yeah, got him, loved him, and thought we can\u2019t leave him behind, so we brought him with us.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s an amazing dog. He\u2019s almost three now. Really cool. We take him to quite a few races and that was the first time him in Victory Lane. Really, really cool to have him there.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJessica, my wife, she seems to have a thing for human names. All our animals seem to have human names. It\u2019s pretty funny, yelling out. It suits him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Asked whether Steve would be making a trackside appearance, van Gisbergen laughed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust a little guy. We rescued him last year. Had him about a year now,\u201d said SVG.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe doesn\u2019t travel. He\u2019s a little menace. We can\u2019t take him anywhere.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re opposites, those two dogs.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Fun night at the Clash last night! He wanted to come earlier this year but couldn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019ll do the next three. Richmond and Daytona as well and then probably come back later in the year for the last couple.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s always cool to have him here. He used to come to a lot of races when I was in Australia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019d fly over for the weekend. It\u2019s a bit harder now. It\u2019s so cool to have him here and also to have a win too, it\u2019s pretty special.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[The United States] is a bit far.
