<\/p>\n Email Link<\/p>\n \n A man was charged Wednesday after allegedly throwing a sandwich at a federal law enforcement officer in Washington, DC, amid President Donald Trump\u2019s takeover of the city\u2019s police<\/a> and increase in federal law enforcement presence<\/a>.\n <\/p>\n \n Police said Sean Charles Dunn confronted a group of US Customs and Border Protection officers on 14th Street in Northwest DC on Sunday night, calling them \u201cfascists,\u201d according to court documents. During the incident, Dunn allegedly approached a CBP officer and shouted expletives, adding, \u201cWhy are you here? I don\u2019t want you in my city!\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n Dunn then crossed the street but returned and threw a \u201csub-style sandwich\u201d at the officer\u2019s chest, police said. Dunn then attempted to run away but was arrested, the documents said.\n <\/p>\n \n Dunn allegedly confessed while being processed, saying, \u201cI did it. I threw a sandwich,\u201d the documents stated. Dunn is charged with assaulting a federal police officer.\n <\/p>\n \n An attorney for Dunn was not listed in court documents.\n <\/p>\n \n US Attorney for DC Jeanine Pirro touted Dunn\u2019s arrest on Wednesday, saying in a video shared on X<\/a>, \u201cWe\u2019re going to back the police to the hilt. So there, stick your Subway sandwich somewhere else.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n In a statement to CNN, Pirro said, \u201cThe police are not out there to get pushed around or beat up. They have a job to do, and they shouldn\u2019t be abused in the process. Count on me to back the blue.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n CNN has reached out to the White House for comment.\n <\/p>\n
