Collin Morikawa is making a notable change less than a month before the 153rd Open Championship.<\/p>\n

Morikawa, a two-time major champion, parted ways with his longtime caddie,\u00a0J.J. Jakovac, after the\u00a0RBC Heritage in April. He then hired\u00a0Joe Greiner, who split\u00a0with Max Homa earlier this year.<\/p>\n

After underwhelming performances at the PGA Championship and U.S. Open, Morikawa has decided to end his partnership with Greiner. He confirmed this move with Golfweek.<\/p>\n

Morikawa’s decision comes just a day before the Rocket Classic at Detroit Golf Club. His\u00a0former college teammate,\u00a0K.K. Limbhasut, will be on the bag for him this week.<\/p>\n

Limbhasut has made nine appearances on the Korn Ferry Tour this year. It’s unclear if he’ll be the long-term solution to Morikawa’s problems.<\/p>\n

All we know for sure is that golf fans are worried about Morikawa. They believe his ego is getting in the way of his career.<\/p>\n

“Dude at this point it\u2019s not the caddie,” one fan wrote on X.<\/p>\n

“At what point does it become time for Collin to look in the mirror?” a second fan asked.<\/p>\n

“Collin is my favorite golfer to preface. He really needs to get out of his own way and put his ego to the side. He is churning through caddies, every time he\u2019s mic\u2019d up it seems like he\u2019s always fighting them. I know it\u2019s hard to find someone you trust and respect,” another fan said.<\/p>\n

Morikawa\u00a0made all five cuts with Greiner as his caddie, but that’s not good enough for him. After all, he didn’t record a single top-10 finish with Greiner by his side.<\/p>\n

Only time will tell if\u00a0Morikawa can find the right caddie.<\/p>\n
