Later that year, the Michelin Guide announced its first series of Michelin Starred restaurants in Texas, including <strong>six in Houston<\/strong>. This fall, Michelin Guide will host a special ceremony announcing the <strong>2025 selection of Michelin Guide honored restaurants<\/strong> in Texas. <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The special ceremony will take place on <strong>October 28<\/strong> at <strong>Wortham Theater Center<\/strong> in Houston. At this special invite-only ceremony, supported by Houston First, Michelin Guide will bestow its second edition of culinary awards to chefs and restaurants in <strong>Houston, Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth<\/strong>, and <strong>San Antonio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cLast year marked a <strong>milestone for the Texas restaurant industry<\/strong>, and we\u2019re excited to continue celebrating the state\u2019s exceptional culinary talent at this year\u2019s ceremony,\u201d said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guide, in a press release. <\/p>\n<p> <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-23434\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/FotoJet-2025-01-22T195842.714-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Image shows the interior of Le Jardinier in Houston.\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  \/>Photo credit: Julie Soefer <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cTexas\u2019 culinary scene boasts a rich heritage, defined by its<strong> diverse flavors, unique cuisines, and remarkable talent<\/strong>\u2014qualities that make it distinctly Texan. It offers something for every kind of traveler, and we look forward to unveiling our Inspectors\u2019 findings in the coming months.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Michelin Guide distinctions include a three-starred system, <strong>three stars being its highest honor<\/strong> bestowed upon chefs who exemplify cooking as an art form.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Michelin Guide also awards <strong>Bib Gourmands,<\/strong> going towards restaurants offering quality food at a good value. The distinction is also often deferred to the Michelin inspectors\u2019 personal favorite dishes. <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The company also <strong>honors quality restaurants with a focus on sustainability<\/strong> with Michelin Green Stars.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The first edition of Michelin Guide awards in Texas included 117 distinguished restaurants across the state.
