Happy Thursday, <\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the last assignments I had as a fellow for the Fort Worth Report in August 2022 was the first ever Amplify 817 showcase<\/a> at Will Rogers Memorial Center. The Fort Worth Public Library\u2019s free concert spotlighted four local musicians with the promise to turn up the volume on local talent every year \u2014 and it has.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The musical showcase is back for its fourth show this weekend with a fresh lineup of artists taking center stage at a new venue. Find out more about the jam session below.<\/p>\n

Also, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth has a blazing new exhibition lighting up its gallery space. I\u2019ll be at the show\u2019s press preview this evening to film some social media content. Be on the lookout for that video on our Instagram page<\/a> early next week.<\/p>\n

Rock out to Fort Worth\u2019s rising music stars<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s lineup includes Asa Ace, Tipps and Obermiller, Grady Spencer, Cherry Mantis, Kendi Jean and 88 Killa. Each artist is available on the Amplify 817 ad-free streaming platform, which features music made in Panther City. <\/p>\n

The museum\u2019s annual party is back with open cockpits, WWII Jeep rides, flight simulators, games and cake for aviation pioneer Orville Wright\u2019s birthday.<\/p>\n

Feel the flames from Oak Cliff artist\u2019s work at new Fort Worth exhibition<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The artist explores the element of fire across 28 artworks that stand over 10 feet tall. The body of work is painted on shaped wood. The exhibition is curated by Fort Worth artist Christopher Blay.<\/p>\n

The South Korean pop music sensation ATEEZ is coming back to Arlington to perform their biggest hits, including \u201cLemon Drop\u201d and \u201cIce On My Teeth.\u201d<\/p>\n

When: <\/strong>7 p.m. Aug. 16<\/p>\n
