The restaurants, named Ateliê and Origen, will be located at the same address while remaining two distinct concepts where creatives can thrive.

“I’ve been an artist my whole life,” Lima stated in the release. “I’ve written, I’ve made music, and food just became the most interesting medium for me.”

Changing from a cafe to a bistro, Ateliê will be open 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. The morning menu offers espresso, pastries and sandwiches, and the afternoon version includes dishes like grilled whole mackeral, croque madame, and half-roasted chicken with sweet plantains. Plus, the restaurant will partner with Daisha Board Gallery to display artists’ work for customers to purchase.

Next door, fine dining restaurant Origen is set to be open Thursday-Saturday when it joins the area. It’s a reservation-only tasting room seating 72 guests every week and serves meals of seven to 10 courses. The menu changes seasonally and is artistically driven. Like Ateliê, Origen will also have a rotating art exhibition sourced from Daisha Board Gallery.

Lima and co-founder Vivaldo Gouveia, his cousin, drew inspiration from their Angolan mothers in creating the concepts.

Ateliê and Origen will both be located at 368 W. Jefferson Blvd.

Chef Wyl Lima is bringing two restaurants to the Bishop Arts District this fall, according to a press…

[5135
5229,1596,358,3187,67,586,132,5230,68,2969
0":"post-145732","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-dallas","8":"tag-america","9":"tag-dallas","10":"tag-texas","11":"tag-tx","12":"tag-united-states","13":"tag-united-states-of-america","14":"tag-unitedstates","15":"tag-unitedstatesofamerica","16":"tag-us","17":"tag-usa
["GET
