At least two people have been arrested after getting into a fight with a man in Venice Beach, leaving him with serious injuries.<\/p>\n
The altercation happened near Innes Place and Horizon Avenue Tuesday at around 8 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.<\/p>\n
When officers responded to a 911 call about the fight, they found the male victim on the ground. After the paramedics took him to a trauma center, officers had to set up a crime scene due to the seriousness of the injuries, the LAPD added.<\/p>\n
Law enforcement sources told NBC4 Investigates that one of the assailants stomped on the victim’s head while he appeared to be unconscious. <\/p>\n
The injured man is in a medically induced coma, according to the sources.<\/p>\n
It was not immediately clear whether the man was homeless.<\/p>\n
Investigators were able to track down the suspects by examining multiple surveillance videos and speaking with witnesses. <\/p>\n
